Donald Trump apparently doesn't want to have anything to do with "boring" Samuel L. Jackson. The GOP presidential candidate took to Twitter to mock Jackson after the 67-year-old actor suggested that Trump cheated when playing golf.

In an interview with Rhapsody magazine, the United Airlines magazine, Jackson answered a question about who's the better golfer, he or Trump. "Oh I am for sure. I don't cheat," said the actor. He later weighed in on Trump's presidential prospects, "More P.T. Barnum than politician. I don't think he believes half the things he says."

Trump was clearly unhappy after learning of Jackson's diss. He tweeted on Tuesday, January 5, "I don't know @SamuelLJackson, to best of my knowledge haven't played golf w/him & think he does too many TV commercials-boring. Not a fan."

Jackson soon responded to Trump's tweet. While stopping by "Late Night with Seth Meyers" on Tuesday night, he told host Seth Meyers that he met Trump "a lot. I've played golf with him. I actually played golf with him, with Anthony Anderson. We were all playing together, and we saw [Trump] hook a ball into a lake at Trump National in Jersey. And his caddy told him he found it."

"When I got there [to the golf course] it was President [Bill] Clinton, who could also verify that Donald Trump knows me," Jackson continued. He explained that he and Clinton ended up playing together but Trump did not play that day.

Anderson also backed up Jackson's story with a single tweet which read, "C'mon @realDonaldTrump you played Golf with @SamuelLJackson and me as well. we also had lunch together! shrimp and hot dogs. sound familiar?"

Following Jackson's interview on Tuesday, Trump insisted that he didn't cheat at golf. "I don't cheat at golf but @SamuelLJackson cheats-with his game he has no choice-and stop doing commercials!" the business mogul tweeted on Wednesday. "Don't like @SamuelLJackson's golf swing. Not athletic. I've won many club championships. Play him for charity!"
