Emily is back home in a new clip from "Pretty Little Liars" midseason premiere. She and the other Liars return to Rosewood for Charlotte's court hearing, five years after events in the summer finale.
As she arrives at her parents' home, Emily asks her mother about Greg. Since it has been revealed before that Emily's father died sometime during the past five years, it's safe to assume that Greg is her mother's new boyfriend.
Sadly, Pam says of her relationship with her boyfriend, "We're taking a little break. ... It was just time for a break." As they get into the house, Emily touches a flag displayed in the window apparently to honor her late father.
"PLL" returns with the new episode "Of Late I Think of Rosewood" Tuesday, January 12 at 8 P.M. ET on Freeform, previously known as ABC Family.
Series creator Marlene King recently told Variety that Emily kept the biggest secret of all the girls. "She really has two secrets. One of the secrets informs the other," she said. "Over the course of the time jump, her father passes away unexpectedly and she will have a really difficult time dealing with that."
