The country singer's 'Die a Happy Man', which is his love letter to his wife, has been climbing up the charts.

AceShowbiz - Thomas Rhett has been slowly climbing up the Billboard Hot 100 with his hit single, "Die a Happy Man". The song recently reached a new peak when it landed at No. 21. It's been performing even better on Billboard's Country Airplay and Hot Country Songs charts, where it hit No. 1.

The tune was written by Rhett along with Sean Douglas and Joe Spargur. It's lifted off the 25-year-old singer's latest album "Tangled Up", which was released last September and has also spawned the hit "Crash and Burn".

Ahead of its release a few months ago, he proudly stated in multiple interviews that he created the sweet song with his wife Lauren Gregory in mind. The lucky lady, Rhett's high school sweetheart whom he married back in 2012, is even featured in the music video.

"I've been somewhat getting crap my entire career from my wife saying, 'When are you going to write a sweet song about me and put it on a record?' " Rhett said in an interview with Rolling Stone.

" 'Die a Happy Man' is the most honest song I've ever written about my wife. It really replicates our relationship with each other and our love for each other, so I think it will be really fun and exciting for people to see that side of me, because I've never really done that before," he continued.
