Miley Cyrus seems to have a blue Christmas, but only on a new song she's done with friend and now-frequent collaborator Wayne Coyne. The singer treated fans to the first listen to the somber Christmas tune in a video shared on Instagram by The Flaming Lips' frontman.
The short clip shows Miley with zit cream on her face showcasing her vocals over acoustic guitar licks. "This is my sad Christmas song. I've had it in my head all day long," she sings. The preview was captioned, "This is my sad Christmas song... @stevendrozd @mileycyrus #theflaminglips #mileycyrusandherdeadpetz #sadchristmassongs."
So far, no other details regarding the song have been unveiled. However, the hashtag "#sadchristmassongs" hints that it could be a part of a Christmas album or EP.
Miley and The Flaming Lips previously worked together on their joint album "Miley Cyrus and Her Dead Petz" which was released for free last August. They later embarked on the "Milky Milky Milk" tour that wrapped up with a concert in Los Angeles last Saturday, December 19.
