It's a big year for Steve Aoki and he's ending it with a vow. The EDM DJ married his longtime girlfriend, Australian model Tiernan Cowling, on Friday, December 18 on the Hawaiian island of Maui.
"Steve married his longtime girlfriend in a small, private and intimate ceremony in Maui yesterday in front of their families," a representative of Aoki told Us Magazine on Saturday. The ceremony was witnessed by only a handful of people including families and close friends. The couple had been engaged since 2010.
Aoki is the brother of model Devon Aoki and the son of the late Benihana founder Hiroaki 'Rocky' Aoki. He was the highest grossing DJ for the first half of 2012 and raked in $23 million this year alone, Forbes reported. The Grammy-nominated DJ has collaborated with such musicians as Linkin Park, Iggy Azalea, Fall Out Boy and Snoop Lion a.k.a. Snoop Dogg.
