Lionsgate and Summit Entertainment have debuted a new trailer for action fantasy movie "Gods of Egypt". The new trailer shares some never-before-seen footage as well as providing a glimpse of Thoth (Chadwick Boseman) and Geoffrey Rush's mystery character.

"Game of Thrones" star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau plays Horus, the son of fallen god Osiris, who seeks revenge against Set (Gerard Butler) for killing his father. Horus then teams up with mortal hero Bek (Brenton Thwaites), who also attempts to take down Set in order to save the world and rescue his true love.

As the two embark on a breathtaking battle against Set and his henchmen, "both god and mortal must pass tests of courage and sacrifice if they hope to prevail in the epic final confrontation."

The previous trailer got a not-really-good reception, but at least the new one did better in defining the plot. Not so long after the first trailer was released, the movie garnered some negative criticisms regarding diversity issue. The film was slammed for casting all-white actors for key characters.

Lionsgate and director Alex Proyas then apologized to people who were not pleased with the movie. "The process of casting a movie has many complicated variables, but it is clear that our casting choices should have been more diverse. I sincerely apologize to those who are offended by the decisions we made," Proyas said.

The film will open in the U.S. on February 26, 2016.
