Movie

Patrick Tatopoulos, a production designer from the upcoming movie, said that Doomsday would not be the final villain in 'Dawn of Justice'.

AceShowbiz - Ever since the latest trailer for "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" was released, people started to discuss about Doomsday more frequently. French magazine Premiere recently spoke with Patrick Tatopoulos, a production designer from the movie, and got more details about the character. Tatopoulos suggested that Doomsday would not be the biggest villain in the upcoming movie.

The designer hinted that there would be another "larger threat" beyond Doomsday. "Doomsday isn't just the final act. Those feeling they may know too much this early, are going to be in for a true surprise. That's something to find out on March 25th," he said.

He later explained about director Zack Snyder's take on the enormous creature, [SPOILER ALERT!] who killed Superman in the comic books. "We are able to tell a story in a fresh way. Doomsday is an evolution essentially. Fans may be aware of the death of Superman story, but this is handled in such a new way," he said.

He also stated that the film was called "Batman v Superman" for a reason. "When the film is called Batman v or versus Superman, it really has a lot of levels to the meaning. Superman isn't just killed off at the end of something. We see how he evolves as part of Lex's plan to protect the world," he explained. "Seeing the Superman we know, be gone, and then replaced with this reproduction is really going to make fans think of how we look at these super beings. It was especially interesting to figure out, how would you create Superman from Zod... then how would that involve into Doomsday."

"Dawn of Justice" sees the Gotham City's vigilante (Ben Affleck) and the Metropolis' savior (Henry Cavill) at war with one another. The movie also stars Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Amy Adams as Lois Lane and Ray Fisher as Cyborg. It also introduces Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman and Jason Momoa's Aquaman. The upcoming hero-versus-hero movie is scheduled to hit U.S. theaters on March 25, 2016.
