Is a "Supergirl" / "The Flash" crossover really happening? Executive producer Greg Berlanti has responded to the rumors that first emerged over Thanksgiving saying that the two DC superheroes might team up in an episode of the CBS drama.

Berlanti, who executive produces both series, says, "No," when asked about the matter. He says there have not been discussions about a potential crossover. "Only because we just received the pickup [for more 'Supergirl' episodes,]" he adds, "Not at this point."

Bleeding Cool previously reported that the "Supergirl" / "The Flash" crossover would be a requirement to do if the former show got a back nine episode order. The freshman series just received the full season order in early December, but as Berlanti says, it doesn't guarantee the rumored crossover.

While The Flash isn't coming to "Supergirl" anytime soon, Cisco (Carlos Valdes) of "The Flash" is slated to appear on The CW's new series "DC's Legends of Tomorrow". Valdes coyly tells EW of his upcoming appearance on the spin-off, "I did get to do an interesting take on this character on 'Legends of Tomorrow'."
