AceShowbiz - "Outlander" is not returning until 2016, but it won't miss the holiday season. In the spirit of the upcoming festivities, the show has released a new picture from season 2 that reminds everyone to get prepared for the holiday celebration.
Giving a sneak peek at the Parisian settings, the image shows some servants preparing a table possibly for a dinner party. "Prepare yer tables. The holiday season is upon us," so reads the caption of the photo shared on the show's official Facebook and Instagram page.
The second season of the fantasy drama series will be mostly set in Paris, where Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) were headed to in the first season finale. Upon arriving there, they live with Jamie's Scottish cousin Jared Fraser (Robert Cavanagh), a successful wine merchant and a strong Jacobite.
The show will introduce other new faces, such as Le Comte St. Germain (Stanley Weber), "a wine merchant and member of the French Court" who is described as "a bit of a villain," and Alex Randall (Laurence Dobiesz), the younger brother of the main antagonist Black Jack Randall (Tobias Menzies). Lionel Lingelser is additionally cast as King Louis XV.
The new season, which is expected to premiere in spring, will follow Jamie and Claire as they try to stop the Jacobite rising by ingratiating themselves in the French court so they can thwart the financing for Bonnie Prince Charlie's Jacobite rebellion.
