Coldplay has released on Instagram snippets from all 11 tracks of their upcoming album "A Head Full of Dreams". Beyonce Knowles and her little daughter Blue Ivy are featured on "Hymn for the Weekend", a song that Chris Martin says was inspired by club music.
"Wings on me/ When I was so heavy/ I wrote a symphony/ When I'm lower, lower, lower, low...," Chris is heard singing with Beyonce backing his vocal. "#Track3 #HymnForTheWeekend #AHeadFullOfDreams #Coldplay #TenDaysUntilAHFOD," the caption reads.
Speaking to EW, Chris talked about his collaboration with Beyonce, "I don't know if you've come into contact with her, but she's all goodness. And when she sings, she really puts you into her place." He admitted he was rather nervous to ask Jay-Z's wife to join him in the studio.
"This album is about celebrating and this angel figure kept popping up and I was thinking, 'Gosh, Beyonce would be perfect, but she'd never do it,' " the band's frontman recalled, "One day, we were talking and I was trying to drop the hint, but I didn't want to be imprudent. And she said I'll do it."
Before sharing snippets of the album tracks, Coldplay posted a photo of the back of the album along with caption, "Ten days until A Head Full Of Dreams is released! We're celebrating by posting a preview of each song, in order, at hourly intervals. We begin in 30 minutes... #AHFOD #Coldplay."
