Rachel McAdams, Tilda Swinton, Mads Mikkelsen and Michael Stuhlbarg's casting in the superhero movie is no longer a rumor.

AceShowbiz - Some of the rumors surrounding the supporting cast of Marvel's "Doctor Strange" have been confirmed in a press release. The studio also officially announced the start of production which actually had been going on for a few weeks now.

Benedict Cumberbatch's casting as the titular character had been confirmed in December last year but a lot of the other names were just a rumor. Many sites reported that Rachel McAdams was cast as Cumberbatch's love interest and Tilda Swinton was potentially playing the Ancient One. These two names are officially on the list now.

Marvel revealed that McAdams, Swinton, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Mads Mikkelsen, and Michael Stuhlbarg would join Cumberbatch in the pic. However, each of their roles was not unveiled. There were talks that Mikkelsen would be a villain, McAdams being a night nurse, and Stuhlbarg playing Nicodemus West.

Ejiofor is confirmed as the other bad guy Baron Mordo. He and Cumberbatch were spotted filming in Kathmandu, Nepal earlier this month. The film will be shot in several other locations around the world, including London, New York and Hong Kong.

"Doctor Strange" is an origins story of the mystical superhero who started off as a neurosurgeon. After a horrific car accident, Stephen Strange discovers the hidden world of magic and alternate dimensions. Directed by Scott Derrickson, the film will be released on November 4, 2016.
