The CW Moves 'Vampire Diaries' to Make Room for 'Legends of Tomorrow'

The vampire-themed series and its spinoff are replaced by 'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' and 'The 100' on Thursdays.

AceShowbiz - The CW announces big moves for the upcoming midseason. "The Vampire Diaries" and its spinoff "The Originals" are relocated to make rooms for DC Comics superhero adaptation "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" and post-apocalyptic drama "The 100".

Starting January 21 next year, the "Arrow / The Flash" spinoff and the third season premiere of the Hundred are set to air Thursdays at 8 and 9 P.M. respectively. Meanwhile, the two vampire-themed series are scheduled for Fridays beginning January 29.

Right now, the Fridays are occupied by the cycle 22 of Tyra Banks' "America's Next Top Model" which will air its final episode on December 4 and the third season of historical fantasy romance "Reign" which will air its winter finale on January 22 before going on a hiatus.
