Will Mera Appear in 'Justice League'?
Movie

Latest rumors say that the Queen of Atlantis will make her cinematic debut in the upcoming Zack Snyder-directed movie.

AceShowbiz -

Wonder Woman may not be the only female superhero in DC's "Justice League Part One" after all. Heroic Hollywood has suggested that the Queen of Atlantis, Mera, will possibly make an appearance in the upcoming superhero team-up movie.

Since Mera is the wife of Aquaman, previous rumors said that she might be making her cinematic debut in 2018's "Aquaman", but it does make sense if she ends up popping in "Justice League". Though the site seems pretty sure that Mera will appear in the film, it remains to be seen if Mera will be one of the members of the titular team.

"Justice League Part One" is slated to begin shooting next year in London after "Wonder Woman" wraps production. "We're making most of 'Wonder Woman' [in the U.K.] and we're also making most of 'Justice League' there, 'JL One'... We're definitely gonna be shooting 'Part One' in the first or second quarter of next year," said producer Charles Roven.

There is no official cast announcement just yet, but Ben Affleck, Jason Momoa and Gal Gadot are expected to reprise their roles as Batman, Aquaman and Wonder Woman. Zack Snyder will direct the movie with a script penned by Chris Terrio and David S. Goyer. Produced by Dan Lin and Doug Mitchell, "Justice League Part One" is scheduled to arrive in North America on November 12, 2017.
