"Spectre" has already become a worldwide hit before it debuts in the U.S. In the first seven days since its release in the U.K. (October 26), the movie collected an estimated £41.7 million (or $63.8 million), setting the record as the biggest seven-day opening ever. It surpassed the seven-day haul of previous record holder, 2004's "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban", which took in £23.88M in its first week at the time.

Internationally, the 24th installment of the James Bond film franchise earned $80.4 million worldwide after it opened in six territories, including Finland, Norway and Denmark. It also became the first film to ever cross $100,000 in per-theater averages at IMAX locations.

This outstanding performance doesn't come as a surprise though, considering the previous Bond film's success. "Skyfall" debuted to $88.4 million when it was released in the U.S. in November 2012 and went on to gross more than $1.1 billion worldwide, becoming the biggest film ever in the U.K.

If "Spectre" stays on the track, the movie which could mark Daniel Craig's last performance as the 007 agent is expected to surpass its predecessor, "Skyfall".

"Spectre", also starring Christoph Waltz, Lea Seydoux, Monica Bellucci and more, will hit theaters in the U.S. on November. Sam Mendes who directed the 23rd installment is back on the director's seat for the latest movie.
