One more actor has officially signed on for "Wonder Woman". While promoting his upcoming film "The Finest Hours", Chris Pine confirmed that he would star in the female superhero movie opposite Gal Gadot.

Speaking to Premiere, the "Star Trek" actor said that he's excited and couldn't wait any longer to do the movie. "I do not really know what I'm allowed to tell you. I'm super excited, of course, Gal Gadot is super talented, Patty Jenkins will perform, and we will shoot in film," Pine shared.

He went on revealing the reasons why he's so delightful. "What excites me most is to turn in a movie with a superhero woman. With a woman in the lead role. I am a team with this intelligent, beautiful and strong [woman] to destroy the wicked and save humanity. The routine, whatever," the actor explained. However, he didn't mention the role he's going to play in the 2017 film.

It was reported several months ago that Pine would play Steve Trevor, the Amazonian princess's love interest who will help her save humanity. Trevor first appeared alongside Diana Prince a.k.a. Wonder Woman in 1942's "All Star Comics" eighth edition. Directed by Patty Jenkins, "Wonder Woman" is scheduled for a U.S. release on June 23, 2017.
