Demi Lovato has landed a modeling contract with Wilhemina Models. She is joining Nick Jonas, Sydney Sierota, Ellar Coltrane, Trai Byers, Robyn Lawley and Soo Joo Park as part of the agency's impressive rooster.
The agency made the announcement on Instagram on Friday, October 16, posting a photo of the "Cool for the Summer" hitmaker posing at the agency's office. Wearing a khaki suede dress with front slit and a brown long coat, the singer smiled widely to the camera.
Demi said in a statement, "I'm thrilled to sign my first major modeling contract with Wilhelmina. I'm very excited to see where our work together will go creatively as I enter the next phase of my career and continue to develop as an artist."
Alex Vaickus, CEO of Wilhelmina Models, added, "We are so thrilled to represent such a sophisticated, confident and talented woman, as Demi. She has proved that she is an accomplished singer and actress, and we look forward to seeing her success within the modeling realm."
Demi recently posed completely naked for Vanity Fair, baring her side boobs and derriere. "The reason I decided to do this photo shoot was because when I think of confident I think of many things, but one thing in particular is feeling comfortable in your own skin," she explained, "I thought there was something incredible about the idea of no makeup whatsoever, no clothes and no retouching."
