Liam Payne is reacting to backlash over a video of him shoving fellow One Direction member Louis Tomlinson which went viral over the weekend. In the viral video, Liam was seen shoving Louis while Harry Styles was belting a line of "What Makes You Beautiful".

While Liam was apparently joking around with Louis, some fans rushed to Louis' defense, criticizing Liam for his harshness. Some media outlet also scolded Liam for his aggression. Liam posted on Twitter a link to a Heat World blog post which titled, "This video of Liam Payne shoving Louis Tomlinson on stage is REALLY shocking."

"Don't get us wrong, being a multi-millionaire, super-talented boyband member with everything you could possibly ever want at your fingertips must be REALLY hard," Heat World wrote, "But surely you could keep your temper in check for just a couple of hours while you're working?"

Liam responded, "Simply the funniest story I've read to date clearly the person who wrote this has never experienced friendly banter in their life. OH MY GOD THATS SO OUTRAGEOUS HOW DARE I HAVE A JOKE WITH A FRIEND ON STAGE."

Some fans supported Liam for his tweets. One fan wrote, "Haters are gonna hate. Love you @Real_Liam_Payne and @Louis_Tomlinson! Remember no one can #DragMeDown." A second fan posted, "@Real_Liam_Payne they're stupid af liam ignore them we've got your back." Another one shared, "@Real_Liam_Payne don't worry liam we know the media says silly things! we love you & know it's only friendly banter w/ your best mate."
