Demi Lovato is getting ready to drop the official music video for her new single "Confident". Ahead of its Friday, October 9 release, the singer let fans take a peek into the upcoming visuals via some teaser clips shared over the weekend.

In one preview she unveiled on her own Twitter page, she looks fierce in a black tank top while sporting messy hair. Another snippet arriving through Marriott Rewards' Twitter account offers glimpses at the 23-year-old singer as she takes down some bad guys.

For her new music video, Lovato has hired famed director Robert Rodriguez and Michelle Rodriguez. "So honored to be working w these 2 badasses: the legendary director @Rodriguez & the legendary actress @MRodOfficial!" she said of the filmmaker and the "Furious 7" star in a Twitter post when announcing their involvement last week.

"I was so impressed by Demi's fearless performance as a guest star on my TV series 'From Dusk Till Dawn' that I jumped at the chance to direct her video. I basically treated this like we were shooting a high octane action film, because she has the presence and star power to pull it off. She's incredible," director Rodriguez praised Lovato in a statement.

"Confident" serves as the second single and the title track of Lovato's new album, which is due out on October 16.
