The former 'Partridge Family' actor is charged for leaving the scene of a car accident without exchanging information with the other driver.

AceShowbiz - David Cassidy has been charged for his involvement in an alleged hit-and-run accident in Florida last month. The former teen idol famous for his role on 1970s sitcom "The Partridge Family" reportedly sideswiped a truck on a highway in Fort Lauderdale and then left the scene before police arrived.
According to Daily Mail, Cassidy was located in a clinic not far from the scene and told the cops he'd left for an unrelated doctor appointment after exchanging information with the truck driver. However, a witness claimed the star only stopped to cover his license plate before driving off with a flat tire.
The accident happened around the same day his waterfront home was sold in a bankruptcy auction. Police did not test him for alcohol or drugs. TMZ learns that he was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, expired tags, improper lane change, and driving on a suspended license. His license was suspended after he pleaded guilty on a DWI charge following his 2013 arrest in New York.
