AceShowbiz - Jay-Z insists Tidal is doing pretty fine despite numerous criticisms it's been receiving. On Tuesday, September 29, the rap mogul let everyone know that the streaming service had reached 1 million subscribers, and he planned to do something to celebrate the milestone.

" 'Nothing real can be threatened, nothing unreal exists' Tidal is platinum. 1,000,000 people and counting," Hov proudly wrote on Twitter. "Let's celebrate 10/20 Brooklyn." However, details about the celebration aren't immediately available.

The service's 1 million users after more than 6 months in business pale in comparison to Spotify's 20 million paid subscribers and 11 million people signing up for Apple Music's 3-month trial.
