The actress who plays Rogue in the 'X-Men' movie series says on Twitter that she will not appear in the Channing Tatum-starring superhero movie.

AceShowbiz - Anna Paquin is unlikely to appear in the upcoming adaptation of "Gambit (2016)". The actress who plays Rogue in the "X-Men" cinematic universe said "no" when one of her Twitter followers asked if she would be in the movie starring Channing Tatum.
As her brief tweet was picked up by various online outlets, Paquin quickly returned to Twitter to set the record straight. "Oh dear! That wasn't a press release!!! I was asked and answered with the information that I currently have. That is all!" she wrote in another reply.
The movie is scheduled to be released in the United States on October 7, 2016. Rupert Wyatt who was originally attached to direct the pic is no longer on board. The plotline is still scarce, but Rogue is romantically involved with Gambit in the comic books. However, her main love interest is Iceman in the movie adaptation. She last appeared in the extended version of "X-Men: Days of Future Past".
