Coldplay treated fans to a brand new song when they took over the 2015 Global Citizen Festival at Central Park in New York City over the weekend. During their set, the British band performed live the track called "Amazing Day" which is rumored to be the first preview of their next album.

"This is about the wonderful things on earth," the group's lead vocalist Chris Martin said when introducing the slow-tempo ballad, which includes lyrics like, "And the view, the whole Milky Way/ In your eyes I'm drifting away/ And in your arms I just wanna sway/ Amazing day."

Coldplay's new album, titled "A Head Full of Dreams", is expected to be released before 2015 ends as a follow-up to last year's "Ghost Stories" which peaked at No. 1 on Billboard 200. The new album will likely be the band's last.

"It's our seventh thing and the way we look at it is like the last 'Harry Potter' book or something like that," Martin said in an interview late last year. "Not to say that there might not be another thing one day, but this is the completion of something... Now we're making thing that sounds different and it's a very fun time to be in our band. I have to think of it as the final thing we're doing or else we wouldn't put everything into it."
