"The A-Team" is the latest TV series to get a reboot. 20th Century Fox Television is teaming up with "Fast and Furious" writer-producer Chris Morgan to bring a new and contemporary version of the mercenary team into the TV screen.

The original series revolves around four Vietnam war veterans who are framed for a crime they didn't commit and who help the innocent while on the run from the military. The reboot will pick up the same plot but feature both male and female members.

Per Deadline, the series is described as "a fun episodic mission-of-the-week show that mixes big action-adventure sequences with compelling characters, inventive cons and lots of humor."

"Sleepy Hollow" executive producer Albert Kim is penning the script while original "The A-Team" creator Stephen J. Cannell's TV director daughter, Tawnia McKiernan, is attached as executive producer.

The original series ran from 1983 to 1987 with the latest reboot being a 2010 movie starring Bradley Cooper and Liam Neeson.
