Ariana Grande ditched her ponytail for natural curly hair. The "One Last Time" songstress took to Instagram over the weekend to share a photo collage and a video of her flaunting her "healthy curls."
The photo showed four images of the 22-year-old singer. In each image, Ariana showed different poses but tried to put the focus on her brown-and-black curly hair. Her hair featured tiny braids on the left and right sides. A caption for the photo read, "Peekaboo healthy curls[,] long time no see."
The singer also posted a black-and-white video showing her comparing her hair to her dog Ophelia's. "Dad made me do it," she said of her curly hair before exclaiming, "Ophelia, we match. Ophelia, we match."
Fans approved of her looks with the curly hair. User @astrid.dereuver commented, "Leave it like this your beatiful." Another user @juliaa.daly wrote, "You are super beautiful with that hairstile omg keep it." Meanwhile, another fan @isabel.plummer thanked Ariana's father as saying, "Your so funny! Thx ari's dad for making her do thos."
Back in 2014, Ariana explained via Facebook that her role on "Sam & Cat" which required her to dye her hair resulted in hair damage. "I had to bleach my hair and dye it red every other week for the first 4 years of playing Cat... as one would assume, that completely destroyed my hair." Her actual hair was "so broken that it looks absolutely ratchet and absurd." Since then, she had to wear extensions in form of ponytail.
"So as annoying as it is for y'all to have to look at the same hair style all the time, it's all that works for now (AND I'm comfortable for the first time in years)," Ariana continued. "And trust me, it's even more difficult for me to have to wait forever for my natural hair to grow back and to have to wear more fake hair than every drag queen on earth combined."
