More than a month after he signed off from "The Daily Show", Jon Stewart shone at the 67th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, thanks to the Comedy Central series. The show bagged three awards, including Outstanding Variety Talk Series.

"To everybody on TV, cling to it as long as you can, like death ... I've been off for 6 or 7 weeks, this is the first applause I've heard," said Stewart when accepting the prize. "Thank you so very much, you will never have to see me again."

"The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" additionally won the directing and writing awards for variety series.

"Inside Amy Schumer" was another triumphant variety series, winning the Outstanding Variety Sketch Series. It beat veterans in the genre, including "Portlandia", "Saturday Night Live" and the recently ending "Key & Peele".
