More DC Comics heroes are coming to the big screen. Warner Brothers is reportedly working on a team-up movie featuring Booster Gold and Blue Beetle. If the rumor is true, Gold and Beetle will join the DC Cinematic Universe which has already had more mainstream DC heroes like Justice League, Suicide Squad, and Green Lantern.

According to a scoop from Tracking Board, Greg Berlanti, the driving force behind the successful DC Comics TV series such as "Arrow" and "The Flash", is expected to direct and executive produce the upcoming crossover movie. Sarah Schechter will also executive produce while Julia Spiro will oversee for the WB.

Booster Gold is the DC universe's equivalent of Tony Stark or Iron Man, famous for his snarky attitude, flashy nature, and reputation for being a showboat. Blue Beetle is a tech genius who uses his inventions to battle crime. The two often partner up and have frequent comedic shenanigans in the comic books.

The two characters have long been rumored to appear on either "The Flash" or "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" but "Legends" showrunner Phil Klemmer recently teased that something bigger could be in the pipeline.

The movie adaptation is rumored to be pitched as a superhero buddy cop movie. Zak Penn who contributed to writing "The Avengers" is reportedly being courted to leave Marvel and pen the script for the Gold/Beetle project.
