AceShowbiz - A sneak peek from the new season of "Modern Family" picks up right where the sixth season finale left off. A newly-released clip focuses on Phil's attempt to make his daughter Haley realize that she and Andy the manny are in love.
In the finale, Phil finally understood that Haley and Andy had feelings for each other but his attempts at telling Haley were obstructed. Andy left to propose to his girlfriend Beth as Haley closed the door behind him.
In the new clip from EW, Phil finally reaches Haley and tells her to go after Andy. "Haley and Andy love each other, but they don't know it!" Phil says on speakerphone, adding, "I could tell by the way he hugged you goodbye." Phil tells Haley to find Andy on a beach. Calling the sudden move "crazy," Haley says she knows which beach he likes.
The episodes, titled "Summer Lovin' ", will air on Wednesday, September 23 at 9 P.M. ET on ABC.
Meanwhile, EW also released a deleted scene from a sixth season's episode. Mitchell is upset when Cam secretly takes their daughter Lily to clowning classes but later apologizes. Cam sees an immediate result from the lessons but not in a good way.
