Three weeks before "The Flash" return, the upcoming third season is previewed in a bunch of photos. The CW has released stills from the season opener titled "The Man Who Saved Central City" which will air Tuesday, October 6 at 8 P.M.
Some of the photos hint at a celebration in Central City in tribute to the titular hero as Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) in his costume is seen waving to the crowd wearing T-shirts that feature The Flash's logo. Victor Garber's character, one half of Firestorm, is suspiciously standing among the crowd.
It appears that Atom-Smasher, portrayed by Adam "The Edge" Copeland, will interrupt the celebration. The Flash is seen going head-to-head with the villain in one image, and is backed by Central City police in another photo.
Other images also see the return of Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) and Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell) who seemingly will bring more troubles for Barry. There's also a photo of Tom Cavanagh who has been confirmed to reprise his role as Dr. Harrison Wells, though "he's going to be a very different Harrison Wells than we've seen before."
"The Flash" will also feature Teddy Sears as Jay Garrick, Keiynan Lonsdale as Wally West a.k.a. Kid Flash, Violett Beane as Jesse Quick, and Shantel VanSanten as Barry Allen's new love interest Patty Spivot this season.
