World Wrestling Entertainment assured fans of John Cena that he was fine after Friday, September 4 night live event against Kevin Owens. There was a miscalculated move between the two fighters during the execution of a sunset flip.
The frequent opponents were having a night of untelevised show in Hampton, Virginia. A video emerged of Owens awkwardly landing on Cena's chest and ribs, possibly injuring the latter. Cena managed to continue the fight for the next five minutes but trainers continued to check on him. Cena eventually won but immediately left the ring without playing the crowd.

Cena had to get help exiting the stage but a WWE spokesperson told The Washington Post on Saturday, "John is fine." It only means that Cena's upcoming matches will be on schedule including the September 20 match against Seth Rollins.
"Many times life will hit you hard, knock you down, and hurt you. Persevere, Never Give Up, and do your best get up and keep going #NGU," Cena tweeted on Saturday. Owens replied to his tweet, writing "That wasn't life. That was me."
