When watching the hit period drama, the 89-year-old British monarch points out the mistakes for fun, reveals 'At Home with the Queen' author Brian Hoey.

AceShowbiz - "Downton Abbey" has a very important person on the list of its superfans. Queen Elizabeth is a huge fan of the hit period drama series and when she watches the show, "she loves to pick out the mistakes," Brian Hoey, author of "At Home With The Queen", tells PEOPLE.

Hoey, who is a British royalty scribe, goes on sharing, "They do tend to get it right. However, the Queen did notice on one episode that there was a young so-called British officer wearing medals which had not been awarded when he was supposed to be alive. He was fighting in the First World War and the medals on his chest did not come in until the Second World War."

The magazine additionally reveals some fun trivia about the 89-year-old British monarch. According to her cousin Margaret Rhodes, the Queen "has a wonderful rollicking sense of humor." She can do impression of aircraft. Sally Bedell Smith, author of "Elizabeth the Queen: The Life of a Modern Monarch", reveals, "When Concorde used to fly over Windsor Castle, she developed an ability to mimic Concorde."

She doesn't really like ballet, but she likes musical theater by Rodgers and Hammerstein, like "Carousel", "Oklahoma" or "South Pacific". Additionally, the Queen is interested in astronomy.

"Downton Abbey" will return for a sixth and final season September 20 on ITV in the United Kingdom before debuting Stateside on January 3, 2016 on PBS.
