Bryan Cranston's 'Sneaky Pete' Gets Series Order at Amazon

Amazon is moving forward with the series which was originally developed and ordered to pilot at CBS.

AceShowbiz - Bryan Cranston's "Sneaky Pete" has been ordered to series at Amazon. The drama from Sony Pictures Television, which was originally developed and ordered to pilot at CBS, is exec produced by Bryan, David Shore, Seth Gordon, James Degus and Erin Gunn.

The series stars Giovanni Ribsi as a criminal who steals his cellmate Pete's identity and starts living with and working for Pete's family of bail bondsmen after being released from prison. Marin Ireland and Margo Martindale also star in the drama.

Seth directed and David wrote the pilot, which featured Bryan as a guest star. The show was originally passed over at CBS in May during the upfronts.

"Sneaky Pete" was one of two pilots Amazon posted on its Instant Video platform last month and debuted to strong reviews. The other, "Casanova" starring Diego Luna, is still in contention. Amazon pilots in the pipeline include "Trial" starring Billy Bob Thornton, "The Good Girls Revolt Edge", "The Patriot" and "Zelda".
