"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" debuts a new teaser video filled with old and new footage. The most intriguing one shows John Boyega's character, Finn, wielding a lightsaber in a snowy forest, the similar setting where Adam Driver's Kylo Ren pops up his own laser sword.
While Ren's weapon is a red cross-guarded lightsaber, Finn's is a classic blue one. The teaser also gives a glimpse at The First Order, a voiceover by Andy Serkis' Supreme Leader Snoke, Daisy Ridley's character, and her little droid sidekick, BB-8.
Finn was teased as a runaway Stormtrooper in the previous trailer before he was eventually shown for the first time holding a blue lightsaber in the poster created by Drew Struzan, the artist behind some of the classic movie posters like "Star Wars", "Indiana Jones", "Back to the Future".
"The Force Awakens" is slated for a release in U.S. theaters on December 18. It stars Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Oscar Isaac, and Lupita Nyong'o among others. Director J.J. Abrams recently said that the villains were inspired by who Nazis who fled Germany after the fall of Hitler.
