Jimmy Fallon apparently has the "best summer ever." After almost ripping off his finger in late June, the host of "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" host recently chipped his front tooth when he tried to open medicine tube for his injured finger.
The 40-year-old comedian took to Instagram on August 21 to inform his fans about the incident. Jimmy posted a snap of himself lying on a dental patient chair while opening his mouth so that the chipped front tooth was visible.
"Chipped front tooth trying to open tube of scar tissue repair gel for recovering finger injury. Thank you Dr. Jobe DDS!" Jimmy captioned it. Despite the unfortunate incident, the comedian still managed to show his sense of humor by putting the hashtag #BestSummerEver before adding, "Brand new Tonight Show tonight!"
Back in June, Jimmy was hospitalized and had minor hand surgery. The incident resulted in the cancellation of "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" taping. It took over two weeks until he returned to the show.
In the July 13 episode of his show, Jimmy explained his finger injury, "So basically what happened is, I tripped and fell in my kitchen on a braided rug that my wife loves and I can't wait to burn it to the ground. I tripped and I caught my fall... I'm getting up and my finger is sideways."
