AceShowbiz - Another Friday means another Carly Rae Jepsen song. While gearing up to release "E.MO.TION" next week, the Canadian singer dropped on August 14 her new album's latest promotional single called "Your Type".
On the poppy, heartbreaking mid-tempo tune, Jepsen sings about having a crush on a guy she knows doesn't feel the same way about her. "I'm not the type of girl for you/ And I'm not going to pretend/ That I'm the type of girl you call more than a friend," she sings over the retro beat. "And I'd break all the rules for you/ Break my heart and start again/ I'm not the type of girl you call more than a friend."
"E.MO.TION" was already released in Japan in June, but it will finally arrive Stateside on August 21. Led by "I Really Like You", it has also been preceded by "Run Away With Me", "E.MO.TION", "All That", "Warm Blood" and "Making the Most of the Night".
Rostam Batmanglij of Vampire Weekend, Sia Furler, Shellback, Greg Kurstin and Ariel Rechtshaid are among those enlisted for the follow-up to 2012's "Kiss".
