NBC hasn't premiered "Coat of Many Colors" yet, but it has already mapped out an idea for its second Dolly Parton movie. At the TCA summer press tour to discuss "Coat of Many Colors", executive producer Sam Haskell announced that the next project would be based on the country music singer's 1973 hit song "Jolene".

"We are very excited to let you know that the next one will be 'Jolene (2016)'," he said. "[John Sacret Young] has come up with an incredible story that Dolly just loves." John Sacret Young will pen the upcoming TV movie.

"Jolene" tells the story of a woman begging a beautiful woman not to steal her man. The song was inspired by the time a bank teller flirted with Parton's husband when they were newly married.

NBC and Parton have agreed to make a series of two-hour TV movies based on her songs and stories. The first installment titled "Coat of Many Colors" is slated to arrive around this holiday season. It is described as a "family-oriented, faith-based movie about nine months in Parton's life when she was 9 years old."

Child actress Alyvia Lind, 8, has been cast as Parton, with Jennifer Nettles tapped to portray Parton's mother.
