Chace Crawford Gambles to Buy Oil Field in 'Blood and Oil' New Promo
TV

Crawford's Billy LeFever gets his shot at being rich after arriving in North Dakota to work for oil tycoon Hap Briggs (Don Johnson).

ABC has released a new promo for "Blood and Oil" ahead of its fall premiere. The approximately-3-minute video gives an extended look at the journey of Billy (Chace Crawford) and Cody Lefever (Rebecca Rittenhouse) who dream of a new life beyond their working class roots.

They move to "The Bakken" in North Dakota, which is booming after the biggest oil discovery in American history. They have a rough start as they get into a car accident, which they survive from, and another accident at work costs Billy his job.

When he learns of another land rich of oil, Billy does anything to buy it, including gambling to get the money. He manages to secure the land before Hap Briggs (Don Johnson) does, and then makes a business proposition with the oil tycoon. What he doesn't know is that it could be the start of something that ruins his marriage.

"Blood and Oil" also stars Amber Valletta as Hap's catty socialite wife Darla, Scott Michael Foster as his villainous son Wick, and Miranda Rae Mayo as his illegitimate biracial daughter Lacey. The show has just replaced Cynthia Cidre with Jon Harmon Feldman as showrunner.

The soapy drama, which has drawn comparisons to "Dallas", is set to debut Sunday, September 27 at 9 P.M. on ABC.
