Miley Cyrus teases her MTV Video Music Award hosting gig with a new promo video she's just shared via Instagram. The former Disney star looks excited as she gives everyone the middle finger in the 15-second clip.
Clad in a fluffy white top paired with matching jacket and headband with sparkling cherries on the top, Miley flashes double middle fingers to the camera and dances to the music while sticking out her tongue. "F**k Yeah VMAzzzzzz! #host @mtv," she wrote in the caption.
The 2015 MTV VMAs is airing live on Sunday, August 30. Miley announced she'd host the upcoming event last week. Responding to the news negatively was Parents Television Council, which said the show with the provocative star involved "is not going to be safe for children to watch."
"With Miley's shtick, it's probably going to be very edgy, very profane, very sexually explicit," PTC president Tim Winter recently said of VMAs. He demanded MTV to change the rating of the program from TV-14 to TV-MA.
"As a parent of a teenager, the content from two years ago was clearly not appropriate for a 14-year-old," he said, referring to Miley' now-controversial performance with Robin Thicke at the 2013 VMAs. "I think last year's was toned down quite a bit. This year, clearly, they're going to try to ramp it back up again. And based on everything we've seen Miley doing in recent years, she certainly seems angry and certainly seems enjoying being the provocateur."
