Neill Blomkamp is excited to work on the future "Alien" sequel and has teased fans with an early look at his upcoming movie. The "District 9" director took to Instagram to share a concept art for the project which features Sigourney Weaver as Ellen Ripley and Michael Biehn reprising his role as Corporal Hicks, his character in James Cameron's "Aliens" (1986). "#alien going very well. Love this project," so he captioned the picture.

Blomkamp revealed earlier this year that he would direct the new "Alien" movie which is separate from the "Prometheus" sequel. He said in February that his movie would ignore "Alien 3" and "Alien: Ressurection". He opened up, "I want this film to feel like it is literally the genetic sibling of 'Alien'. So it's 'Alien', 'Aliens' and then this movie."

Ridley Scott, who directed "Prometheus", will serve as producer for Blomkamp's "Alien". Speaking about the relation between the untitled new Alien movie and "Prometheus", Blomkamp said, "I changed the one thing [Scott] felt was bumping 'Prometheus' a little bit."
