Ryan Murphy didn't share any footage from "American Horror Story: Hotel", but his and the cast's presence at the show's Comic-Con panel still got fans excited. Being careful not to spill any details, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters and Matthew Bomer revealed their characters' names.

Bates is Iris, Bassett is Ramona, Paulson is Hypodermic Sally, Peters is Mr. March and Bomer is Donovan. "Actually everybody on this side of the table are bad boys and girls this year," Murphy said of the stars on the panel. "The fun thing about the show is I always want to write the opposite of the season before." He also noted that Paulson's character had survived every season of "AHS" so far, but that's about to change this time.

Murphy added that Lady GaGa would also play an evil character. "She said, 'I want to be evil.' And I said, 'OK, you came to the right place,' " Murphy recalled his conversation with the pop star. He went on teasing, "Part of her role involves fashion. You want Lady GaGa to look a certain way so the designers have been coming out of the woodwork."

Responding to a fan theory that all seasons of "AHS" are connected, he confirmed, "It's part of a very connected universe with a very cool thesis statement at the end of the run." He additionally revealed that "characters from previous seasons will come back and check into the hotel."
