Ben Affleck made his first public appearance at the San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend since announcing his separation from Jennifer Garner. Like his estranged wife, the actor also still wore his wedding band. He signed autographs at DC booth and helped debut a new "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" trailer during WB panel at Hall H.

Affleck is tapped to play Batman in the movie. "If I thought too hard about the actors who played the part before, I couldn't take the job," he said. "I talked to Zack [Snyder] and I was like, 'are you sure?' And he said, 'I have this vision, I have this idea for the guy and you're perfect for it.' ... The truth was that he took me through the process of creating this character that I quite almost didn't see and at the end of it I was astonished."

The "Gone Girl" star was joined by Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Jesse Eisenberg, Amy Adams, and more at the event. During the discussion, he also recalled a story of running into Christian Bale at a costume shop while shopping with his son. Bale who previously played The Dark Knight in Christopher Nolan's Batman saga, gave him an advice, "Make sure you can piss in that suit."
