Janet Jackson has given her comeback single "No Sleeep" a lyric video treatment. In the clip she released online on Tuesday, July 7, the singer takes viewers to a studio and lets them take a peek at how she created and recorded the song.
The lyrics of the track are displayed in the form of close-up shots of the actual lyric sheets filled with handwritten notes. Through the video, Jackson also allows fans to see the original lines which failed to make the cut to the final version.
Jackson worked on "No Sleeep" with veteran producers and her longtime collaborators Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. The song was released last month as the lead single off the singer's upcoming comeback album, which is currently still in the works and is planned for release later this year via Rhythm Nation Records/BMG.
In support of what would be her first full-length of new material in seven years, she will kick off her "Unbreakable World Tour" on August 31 in Vancouver, BC.
