Hilary Duff may have been single for one and a half year since splitting from her former husband Mike Comrie in January last year, but she seemingly has no plan to find another love in the near future. Speaking with Z100's Elvis Duran on Thursday, June 18, the "So Yesterday" singer revealed the reason why she hadn't been dating anyone since the split.

"I'm not bitter about love or anything like that," Duff told the host. "I'm so busy right now - honestly I don't have time to date and to be building some kind of a relationship."

"I have a 3-year-old, I have a new album, I'm sure you know what it takes to put a record out and make it work, and build a tour and shoot a TV show, all this stuff!" the mother of one continued. "If it came my way and it was easy, sure I'd be into it but it's not something I'm stressed about."

"[There was a] challenge of doing something that was so normal, that the rest of the world is a part of, that seems like something I could never do, or someone like me could never do," Duff shared her experience of joining online dating app Tinder.

"I was like, well, I absolutely can and will and I don't care what people say!" she added. "So it wasn't like I got on like, looking for love and looking for a man like, 'I need a man!' It was like, this is funny and entertaining to me and then I actually got really surprised. There's normal, cute guys on here that have great personalities and just want to meet people!"

Duff later revealed a challenge she faced while raising her son Luca. "I am a beach girl, I love the beach," Duff explained. "It's slightly challenging because Luca doesn't like the beach, he does not like sand. So we have a bit of a battle until I drag him down there and then he has a blast. But I'm like, 'No, you like it!' and he's like, 'I don't!' and I'm like, 'You do, you do! Okay?' "

In the interview, Duff also discussed her music career and her recent 20-hour press day to promote her new album "Breathe In. Breathe Out."
