Kesha Includes Sony in Dr. Luke Lawsuit for Allegedly Putting Female Artists in 'Physical Danger'

The 'TiK ToK' hitmaker claims that the company put her and other female artists in 'physical danger' by supporting the 41-year-old producer's behavior.

AceShowbiz - Kesha, formerly Ke$ha, has added Sony Music in her sexual assault and battery lawsuit against Dr. Luke. She claimed the company put her and other female artists in "physical danger" by supporting Dr. Luke's behavior.

In an amended complaint filed on Monday, June 8 in Los Angeles Superior Court, Kesha, whose real name is Kesha Rose Sebert, said Sony "had knowledge of Dr. Luke treating female entertainers under his tutelage and supervision in the same manner as alleged here regarding Ms. Sebert, which includes both physical and emotional abuse."

She alleged that the recording company not only didn't curtail Dr. Luke's behavior but also "placed JANE DOE female artists, including Ms. Sebert, in physical danger by giving Dr. Luke full creative and business control, with nearly limitless financial resources, over young female artists who necessarily were compelled to become dependent upon his goodwill."

Kesha added that Sony provided the producer with "unfettered and unsupervised access to vulnerable female artists beginning their careers and who would be totally dependent upon Dr. Luke for success."

While Sony has not commented on the issue yet, Dr. Luke calls Kesha's claim "baseless and unsupported." He tells E! News, "It's a further pleading full of the same baseless and unsupported allegations and a claim that smacks of desperation. In our view the amendment is ill advised and does not serve the plaintiff in any way."

Back in March, Kesha won the first round in her case against Dr. Luke. At that time, New York Supreme Court justice Shirley Werner Kornreich ruled that Kesha's California lawsuit should move ahead of Dr. Luke's New York lawsuit.
