The 'Straight Outta Compton' star will recur as Heath, a key member of the Alexandria Safe Zone, in the upcoming sixth season of the zombie-themed series.

AceShowbiz - "The Walking Dead" has cast a key character from the comic books for the upcoming season 6. Corey Hawkins, who plays Dr. Dre on N.W.A biopic "Straight Outta Compton", has been cast as Heath.

Heath is a key member of the Alexandria Safe Zone. The character is described as "an eventual Alexandria supply runner, friend to Glenn and love interest to Denise." He is first introduced in issue 69 of the comic book series.

A first look at Hawkins as Heath has made its way out online via The Hollywood Reporter. He will recur in the next installment of the hit AMC series, which is expected to return this fall. Hawkins is the first actor officially announced as addition for the sixth season.

The arrival of Heath hints that Rick and his group will stay in Alexandria for a while after they first arrived there toward the end of season 5. The fifth season finale introduced new villain, a group called the Wolves who left the "W" mark on the heads of walkers.
