The veteran pop diva reschedules first five shows originally slated to take place in late August until early September for January 2016.

AceShowbiz - Madonna has delayed the start of her "Rebel Heart" tour. The tour, which was originally planned to open in Miami in late August, is now scheduled to start with a two-night show at Bell Centre in Montreal, QC on September 9-10.

The concerts initially slated to take place in Miami on August 29 and 30, Atlanta on September 2 and San Juan, Puerto Rico on September 5 and 6 have all been rescheduled for January 2016. Tickets for these five dates will be honored for the newly scheduled shows.

Madonna announced the delay and apologized to fans in a statement posted on Wednesday, May 20. "As my fans already know, the show has to be perfect. Assembling all the elements will require more time than we realized," she explained. "I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause my fans. I can promise you this show will be worth the wait. Can't wait to share it with all my Rebel Hearts out there."

The "Rebel Heart" tour comes in support of Madge's latest album of the same title. Following its release in March, the set debuted and peaked at No. 2 on Billboard 200.
