Naomi Watts turned heads at the opening ceremony of the 68th Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday, May 13. The actress, who promoted her movie "Sea of Trees" at the annual event, looked stunning in a feathered, gunmetal-gray Elie Saab number with floor-sweeping frock. Her hair was swept up and she completed her look with a huge diamond necklace.
Prior to hitting the red carpet, Watts let her children Kai, 7, and Sasha, 8, have a cuddle on the couture frock. The actress' stylist Jeanann Williams posted the adorable picture on Instagram and captioned it, "And when her fluffers get tired."
Back to the Cannes, Julianne Moore, Sienna Miller and Natalie Portman were among other movie beauties who stole the spotlight. The "Still Alice" actress looked glamorous in a cleavage-baring black Armani Prive gown, complete with over-the-top embellishments on the shoulders in a netted sequin-type wrapover.
Miller, who posed with fellow jurors Jake Gyllenhaal, Guillermo Del Toro, Xavier Dolan and more, showed off her svelte figure in a midnight blue gown by Lanvin with an asymmetric shoulder.
Portman, meanwhile, was joined by husband Benjamin Millepied. She opted for a chic, classy and simple look with a red column gown with a sweetheart neckline and accessorized it with simple jewelry.
Other stars spotted at the red carpet event were Lupita Nyong'o who wore a stunning mint colored Gucci gown, as well as models Bar Refaeli, Karlie Kloss and Doutzen Kroes who donned matching white numbers.
The 2015 Cannes Film Festival runs until May 24. "Mad Max: Fury Road", "Macbeth" and "Carol" are among movies which will be premiered at the event.
