Miley Cyrus excited fans when she gave them a peek into her new music on Wednesday, May 13. The former Disney princess posted on Instagram a short video of her performing live a new slow-tempo song on the stage.
"New jammmmmmmmmmmm," she wrote alongside the 15-second clip showing her, clad in a white jumpsuit with "Good Vibes Only" written on it, singing gloomy lyrics like, "Why do people only show forgiveness when they wanna sound cool in a song?" over the haunting piano chords.
According to Smilers on Twitter, the video was taken during a rehearsal for her performance at Adult Swim's Upfront Party.
It's still unknown if the song is meant for Miley's next solo album or her forthcoming collaborative effort with The Flaming Lips. Flaming Lips' frontman Wayne Coyne recently gave an update on his band and the "We Can't Stop" singer's joint project, saying it was nearly done.
"She does the pop thing so great, so it still feels pop, but a slightly wiser, sadder, more true version," Wayne teased. "Some of it reminds me of Pink Floyd and Portishead." The seven-song album, however, still has no title and release date for now.
