Although Lindsay was said to be 2 hours late, she finally showed up for community service duty on Wednesday at Duffield Children's Center in Brooklyn.

AceShowbiz - Lindsay Lohan finally showed up for her community service duty as a part of her reckless driving plea deal. The actress started the court order on Wednesday, May 13 at Duffield Children's Center in Brooklyn's Fort Greene neighborhood.

"She has started her community service today. Today she is doing clerical work. She is completing some of the clearances that we need. And she will be here pretty much all day," the children's center's director of early childhood programs Ivone Lopez said on Wednesday.

According to TMZ, the "Mean Girls" actress arrived at Duffield two hours late than she was actually expected and about 90 minutes after all children got there. Lindsay was said to sneak in Duffield through the back door to avoid media and fans who had gathered in front of the brick building. Contrary to the reports, Ivone said, "She got here super early. I don't know exact time but she was here early."

Later on the same day, Lindsay tweeted, "So happy to be finally helping out all the kids at @WeAreBCS - I just hope that I can make a difference to their lives."

The community service stemmed from a one-car accident in 2012 when Lindsay crashed her Porsche on Pacific Coast Highway on Santa Monica as she was on her way to shoot a film. She is now on probation for reckless driving and lying to cops.

Prior to the community service at Duffield, Lindsay had only completed less than 10 from the required 125 hours of service. Judge Mark Young said last week if Lindsay doesn't complete the service by May 28, "there will be consequences."
