The 'Dead Poets Society' actor will recur as Daniel Logan, 'a self-made businessman working in the scent industry,' on the Showtime series.

AceShowbiz - Josh Charles has landed his first major acting gig post-"The Good Wife". The actor is set to star in the upcoming third season of "Masters of Sex". He will take a recurring role of Daniel Logan.

His character is described as "a self-made businessman working in the scent industry. In an attempt to bottle the smell of sex and market an aphrodisiac to the general public, Dan seeks out Masters (Michael Sheen) and Johnson's (Lizzy Caplan) expertise on desire. A charismatic salesman, Dan's involvement with Masters and Johnson becomes complicated."

Following his "The Good Wife" departure, Charles has made several appearances on Comedy Central's "Inside Amy Schumer". He will also star on Netflix's revival of "Wet Hot American Summer" titled "Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp", which is currently being filmed.

"Masters of Sex" season 3 premieres July 12 on Showtime.
