Michelle Rounds has filed for full custody of her and Rosie's 2-year-old adopted daughter Dakota.

AceShowbiz - Rosie O'Donnell's estranged wife Michelle Rounds is seeking full custody of their 2-year-old adopted daughter Dakota. Michelle filed her documents on Tuesday, April 28, two months after Rosie filed for divorce from her.

Michelle's lawyer William D. London told Page Six, "My client Michelle Rounds has decided to start proceedings for sole custody of their daughter Dakota, since it is unequivocally in their child's best interest and general welfare."

Rosie's representative Cindi Berger responded, "This is an absurd and desperate attempt to use a child for her [Rounds'] own gain."

Sources told the site that Rosie and Michelle signed a prenup before their wedding in 2012 and the divorce negotiations had been straightforward.

Rosie filed for divorce from Michelle in Manhattan State Supreme Court on February 27. She said the reason of the split was due to "an irretrievably broken relationship." Her divorce came two weeks after her exit from "The View".

At that time, Rosie's rep confirmed the exit and her split from Michelle. "I can confirm that Rosie and her wife Michelle split in November. Rosie has teens and an infant at home that need her attention. This has been a very stressful situation. She is putting her personal health and family first. ABC has been wonderfully understanding and supportive of her personal decision to leave 'The View.' Next week will be her last," the representative told Page Six.
